The rehabilitation of Jazrat Al-Bouhamid Water Station in northwestern Deir ez-Zor has been successfully completed and officially handed over to the General Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir ez-Zor, marking an important step toward improving access to safe and clean drinking water for communities in the area.
Today, the project helps provide clean water to more than 16,000 people, easing the long-standing suffering of residents who have struggled for years to secure safe drinking water, while contributing to better public health and improved living conditions for beneficiary families.
The rehabilitation works included:
Installing a pumping unit with a capacity of 200 m³/hour
Extending a 6,450-meter main water pipeline
Installing 3 metal filters
Setting up a chlorination system in the clear water station
Supplying the station with an air compressor to ensure operational efficiency and service continuity
