As part of early recovery efforts in disaster-affected areas in Syria, and with the aim of strengthening community resilience and improving livelihoods through community-based disaster risk management, Bahar Organization has distributed rainwater harvesting kits in Hassan Kalkawi village. The distribution included a water tank, two solar panels, a battery, an inverter, a full drip-irrigation system, and the main pipeline, enabling households to collect and utilize rainwater to irrigate their home gardens. This intervention supports food security, provides families with sustainable sources of nutrition, and enhances their ability to cope with challenging conditions. Bahar continues to work alongside local communities to deliver sustainable solutions that improve quality of life and promote self-reliance.
