Kasab Bakery, located in the northern countryside of Latakia, is the only bakery in the subdistrict, making it a vital facility for providing bread to the residents of Kasab and nearby villages. However, it went out of service due to several factors, most notably the damage caused by the February earthquake.

In response to this need, Bahar Organization, in partnership with Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), will begin rehabilitating this essential facility. The first phase included a comprehensive assessment of the damage and identification of needs, paving the way for the rehabilitation works.

The project aims to strengthen food security for families and ensure the regular availability of bread, contributing to greater stability for the local population. It will also help reduce the hardship of traveling to other areas to obtain this essential item and ease the financial burdens associated with doing so.
