In Al-Raml Al-Janoubi area in Latakia, women participating in community clubs proposed an initiative that reflects the needs of their neighborhood and the aspirations of its children: rehabilitating one of the local gardens to create a safe space filled with life and joy.

In response to this community-led proposal, Bahar Organization rehabilitated the garden through comprehensive cleaning, maintenance of basic facilities and green areas, and the installation of children’s playground equipment. These efforts helped create a welcoming environment for families and visitors, while supporting social activities within the neighborhood.

This initiative comes as part of Bahar’s efforts to support community-based initiatives and strengthen the role of local residents, especially women, in identifying their priorities and contributing to improving their living conditions, enhancing social cohesion, and creating safer and more vibrant spaces for the community.
