Strengthening Women’s Economic Empowerment through VSLA
Source: VSLA
As part of the Early Recovery and Social Cohesion Project, we continue to support women and strengthen their ability to achieve economic independence through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA).
The project aims to promote financial inclusion and economic empowerment for displaced women, female heads of household, women facing economic exclusion, and women who have persons with disabilities within their families.
After completing basic training sessions on financial literacy to ensure the sustainability of the activity, the fourth savings session was held. During the session, individual and group records were distributed to the participants, and their contributions were recorded through shares ranging from one to four shares. The third loan was also granted since the launch of the savings sessions, helping women develop small businesses and improve their sources of income.
