Source: From Afrin… one heart one shared concern
Bahar Organization believes in the importance of strengthening social cohesion and building bridges of communication among the different community groups in Afrin.
As part of these efforts, Bahar launched a community initiative that included 16 dialogue circles across four sub-districts: Afrin, Jindires, Rajo, and Maabatli, with the participation of 202 women and men from diverse samples of the local community in Afrin.
The initiative included two types of dialogue circles:
Dialogue sessions among members of the Kurdish community, including returnees and residents.
Mixed dialogue sessions bringing together Arab and Kurdish participants.
The initiative concluded with a final meeting that brought together participants from the dialogue circles, community leaders, and actors engaged in social cohesion, within a safe space for dialogue and discussion on practical steps to strengthen communication, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence among all community groups.
During the closing meeting, key lessons learned and outcomes from the previous dialogue circles were reviewed, and participants received a token of appreciation for their active contribution.
