In partnership with #Education, #Peace and #Politics (#EPP) and #Bahar, two seminars in #March2026 highlighted the role of #HigherEducation in recovery and social social cohesion in #Syria. On 25 March 2026, #INCORE at #UlsterUniversity organised a seminar on childhood, youth, and higher education in the #MENA region, with perspectives from the #EarlyChildhood sector in #Palestine and higher education reconstruction in #Syria. The seminar also included a panel with local and international discussants, co-facilitated by Professor #KelseyShanks and Dr #ClionaghBoyle. On 31 March 2026, #AHSS at #DamascusUniversity organised the seminar “Together with Our Universities, Advancing Recovery”.The project explores #HigherEducation in #Syria as a foundation for strengthening #teaching, #leadership, and #systemPlanning, while examining governance, institutional capacity, sustainability, and the link between national priorities and local needs to support an inclusive and sustainable higher education system.
